An expression of its territory, Piccolo Derthona is a wine obtained from young Timorasso vineyards. As the French teach, every wine has a base, a cru and a so-called petit (small) to indicate the pyramidal scale of quality.

Grape variety: Timorasso 100%

Vineyard: Located in Costa Vescovato (AL), planted in 2013,

250 m above sea level, south-west exposure

Sixth plant: 0.83x2.60 - Guyot breeding

Yield per hectare: 85 quintals/ha.

Harvest: early September by hand in boxes

 

Vineyard processing: Fertilized with organic-based products, green manure in alternate rows with mechanical weeding.

Since 2019 the company has followed the "DTP Passione & Ragione - Sustainable Viticulture" protocol

 

Processing in the cellar: Soft pressing followed by clarification of the must and subsequent alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature (18° C). After an initial racking, the wines remain on the noble lees for 5/6 months until bottling.
