Piazzera

White wine (Colli Tortonesi DOC Derthona)

Derthona «Piazzera» takes its name from the hill of the same name at 270 meters where the Boveri family has its largest farms

antique, purchased between the beginning and mid-19th century. The peculiarity of its soil is the sand mixed with clay which gives it a flavor that differentiates it from other selections.

Grape variety: Timorasso 100%

Vineyard: Located in the municipality of Costa Vescovato (AL), planted in 2004, 270 m above sea level, south-west exposure

Sixth plant: 0.83x2.60 - Guyot breeding

Soil: Clay mixed with sand

Yield per hectare: 70 quintals/ha.

Harvest: Mid-September manually in boxes

 

Vineyard processing: Fertilized with organic-based products, green manure in alternate rows with mechanical weeding.

Since 2019 the company has followed the "DTP Passione & Ragione - Sustainable Viticulture" protocol

 

Processing in the cellar: Soft pressing followed by clarification of the must and subsequent alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature (18° C). After an initial racking, the wines remain on the noble lees for 18 months with weekly batonnage until bottling. Bottle refinement for at least 6 months before being put on the market.
