Vino rosso (Colli Tortonesi D.O.C. Barbera)

It is the Barbera that tells the story of the Boveri family. The name of this wine is the date in which Giovanni Boveri, Giacomo's great-great-grandfather, purchased the land on which the vineyard stands today, probably the oldest in the municipality of Costa Vescovato.

Grape variety: Barbera 100%

Vineyard: Located in the municipality of Costa Vescovato (AL), planted in 1920, 250 m above sea level, south-west exposure

Sixth planting: 1 x2.60 - Guyot breeding

Soil: Medium-textured clay

Yield per hectare: 80 quintals/ha.

Harvest: Manual end of September

Vineyard processing: Fertilized with organic-based products, green manure in alternate rows with mechanical weeding.

Since 2019 the company has followed the "DTP Passione & Ragione - Sustainable Viticulture" protocol

Processing in the cellar: pressing and vinification in steel barrels at a controlled temperature (26° C). Delastage mid-fermentation. Maceration for four to eight days at the end of fermentation depending on the vintage. One year of aging in steel, then bottling and further aging in the bottle for 6 months before being released on the market.
